FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD Leadership
FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Che' (Shay) Weber
Chaplain, Rev.. Senior Pastor
I was elected to serve as FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD's Pastor in October 2004.
As a teacher/pastor, I use honest, strong preaching, leadership development of our Deacon Board and lead our Praise Team on keyboard. I have a deep desire to lead a church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with empathetic members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. I take worship and preaching very seriously, using different methods to present God's word in a way that connects people to His love and truth.
As a prior EMT, nursing student/aide and caretaker, we also reach out to our community in many ways. We adopted our local elementary school: Wallenpaupack Area South in Newfoundland, PA. We also regularly support our local law enforcement: Sheriff departments, Milford Police, and State Police.
We have a food & clothing pantry provided by the members and community donations to assist those in need.
I am an Ordained Assemblies of God minister and credentialled Chaplain with the AG, as well.
I have been happily married since 1984 to my husband, Stephen. He works as a Township DPW, runs Laughing Duck Farm (where our fresh eggs go to our pantry), and is my right-hand man! You'll find "Papa Steve" in the sound booth Sunday mornings. We have no children (other than our church!) but we rescue senior dogs. Our family currently has 2 pet ducks, a Jack Russell and a MinPin... and assorted ducks, geese and chickens.
